Responsibilities: As a Social Work Assistant, you will:
  • Work closely with social work managers to provide high-quality services to children and families.
  • Assist in implementing support, protection, and care plans under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Contribute to the overall assessment process of cases, ensuring the needs of children and families are met effectively.
  • Coordinate and deliver services to support children and families, including attending Trust meetings and contributing to reports.
  • Uphold professional standards and adhere to NISCC codes of conduct, ensuring the delivery of best practices in all aspects of your work.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 4 GCSEs (Grades A-C)
  • At least 3 years of experience in a social care role
  • Registration with NISCC on the Social Care Register
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen and respond sensitively to the needs of service users & young people
  • Be willing to undergo an Enhanced Access NI check
  • Provide up to date immunization records including MMR for the completion of a full occupational health review
  • Drivers licence highly desitrable
