Job Overview

This is an opportunity to lead the implementation of a data warehouse as part of the NHS Electronic Patient Record (EPR) initiative across Norfolk and Waveney. This role will drive data integration, management, and reporting across three major hospitals, contributing to the NHS’s goal of enhanced digital healthcare for the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the Meditech data warehouse within the EPR Core Informatics team.
  • Lead a team of developers in designing, testing, and supporting data solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with data teams across three NHS trusts to align on reporting needs.
  • Act as the lead advisor on NHS data dictionary standards, ensuring compliance and accuracy in data integration and reporting.
  • Engage stakeholders to assess complex reporting needs and provide tailored solutions.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Advanced expertise in data warehouse development, SQL Server Management Studio, and SQL scripting.
  • In-depth knowledge of NHS data standards, including NHS data dictionary requirements.
  • Proven experience in managing technical teams, overseeing the full BI development lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex data concepts to various stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Postgraduate qualification (or equivalent experience) in Health Informatics or a related area.
