Role Information

Our Hair & Beauty Division has seen incredible growth over the last few years with the acquisition of White Rose Hair & Beauty Colleges and then LHAA before that. With now over 16 academy locations across The North East, Yorkshire, East Midlands & London, we are now looking for a Group Head of Sales to lead on commercial activity across all sites, maximising all funding and commercial opportunities available to us.

The right person will have an excellent track record in FE Sales including managing teams and experience of Hair, Beauty or Barbering will be a a huge advantage. 

Location wise, we aren't fussy on where you are located however you must be comfortable with travel to our sites across the UK. 

DUTIES 
  • Support our strategic growth plan which sets out the vision and key targets for the growth of our H&B provision
  • Generate performance reports on starts in line with budgeted revenue requirements
  • Contribute to yearly budget and quarterly planning and reports
  • Responsibility for the management of own KPI’s
  • Line management responsibility for Lead Business Development Officers and Key Account Managers ensuring achievement of KPIs
  • Add to and maintain our prospect business pipeline and assist in the development of an on-going customer acquisition strategy
  • Build strong relationships with all employers and other key stakeholders
  • Work closely with Director of Academies, Heads of Department, operations and curriculum teams to ensure delivery of curriculum to meet local needs
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Commercial team to ensure cross selling opportunities are maximised
  • Build relationships with industry specialists across the Hair & Beauty industry, ensuring Learning Curve Group remains relevant in the market
  • Ensure all programmes meet the minimum viability prior to running
  • Drive the right learner, right course ethos with all team members ensuring and robust and effective IAG process
  • Contribute to research/development of a marketing strategy to identify new areas of market demand, new products, and maintain our reputation as a responsive provider
  • Evaluating the market landscape (including strength and weaknesses of competitors) and scope out opportunities to win new business
  • Represent us on various advisory bodies and business forums
  • Develop and deliver high-calibre propositions and presentations for existing and prospective clients at senior, executive and board level
  • Support the sales strategy to engage new clients and confirm the most appropriate training solution

  • Excellent knowledge of the hair & beauty industry
  • Knowledge and understanding of the anticipated changes to funding delivery
  • An understanding of the needs of business and the importance of skills to business competitiveness
  • Strong understanding of different funding streams
  • Strong working knowledge of industry leaders / market place for hair & beauty
  • Previous experience of successful business development ideally in the B2B service sector, with a background which includes both sales and marketing
  • Previous experience operating at a management level with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding challenging targets through their own activity and through the effective management of staff and resources
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and written communication skills
  • Ability to write business tenders and present to audiences
