Position: EC&I Engineer

The EC&I Engineer will play a key role within the UK business, specifically within the Control & Automation Department. Responsibilities include managing and delivering projects for key customers, requiring a broad electrical engineering knowledge and experience in various technical roles within the department.

Reporting Structure

Reports to: EC&I Manager

Key relationships: Managing Director (UK), Engineering Departments, Control & Automation Team

Key Objectives
  1. Professionally and effectively work with a team of Electrical and Automation engineers to ensure tasks are achieved in accordance with customer requirements and in line with the Company’s values and quality standards.
  2. Assist in accurately defining, and where appropriate, design and maintain innovative production processes to improve efficiency, flexibility, and technical depth of the Company’s electrical design capacity.
  3. Ensure adherence to departmental KPI’s and Quality standards.
  4. Agree and apply electrical standards.
  5. Use own initiative for continuous personal development.
Principal Responsibilities
  1. Promote and display effective communication internally and externally to achieve the highest standards and preserve the Company’s reputation.
  2. Liaise with the project team to plan and prioritize tasks efficiently for profitable and timely delivery of contracted outputs.
  3. Adhere to the Company’s Health and Safety Policy and other requirements in relation to the office working environment and customer’s sites.
  4. Ensure maintenance of electrical standards and consistent, accurate, and profitable output.
  5. Complete any other duties reasonably associated with this position as assigned by the EC&I Manager.
Skills & Knowledge

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Word, and Excel.
  • Customer liaison skills to obtain design requirements and ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
  • Ability to conduct site surveys to obtain design information.
  • Experience in designing electrical control systems, producing essential documentation, and participating in procurement processes.
  • Skills in management, supervision, and quality assurance of electrical installations.
  • Capability to produce RAMS for all electrical site activities and final project documentation.
