Title: Senior H&S Manager Location: Manchester Salary: £50k - £70k Package: £6k Car Allowance & Mileage, 25 Hols, Flexible working Sector: Commercial CAT A & B fitout, Hotel Fitout, Student Accommodation refurbs & Fitout. Must Have: CSCS Black, or White NEBOSH Diploma Level 5 or above IOSH Managing Safety Graduate/technical Member of IOSH, 10Yrs experience in Health & safety The company specialise in Hotel & Student Accommodation refurbs & Newbuild fitouts projects, as well as Commercial Refurbs. The role will development you into a Head of department with control over your own budget in the next few years as the company is investing heavily in H&S and is looking for someone to spearhead their efforts. Duties: You will provide leadership, strategic and operational advice supporting the company project delivery team across their projects. Review amendments to legislation and client standards to assess the relevance to the company, making appropriate recommendations Ensuring all company employees are aware of their responsibilities under health and safety and environmental Providing advice to company employees, senior managers, managers and staff, on all aspects appertaining to health, safety and environmental matters Advice and guidance on the preparation of Health & Safety Plans, Method Statements, Risk Assessments and other health, safety environmental documentation Arranging and carrying out site safety and environmental audits and safety inspections, maintain records of audits and inspections and ensure necessary corrective measures are agreed and implemented Arranging and carrying out incident/accident investigations, liaising with the client or enforcement authorities as relevant, reporting findings Investigating the environmental implications of the company’s activities and suggesting actions which may prove beneficial to the environment, the company or others Continuously seeking, proposing and implementing agreed H&S and environmental performance improvements Preparing and producing regular KPI`s and reports on the performance of the H&S and environmental management systems Support on our current cultural drive to improve health safety and environmental standards on our projects and offices Provide statistical data to the directors to demonstrate where improvements can be made Identify root cause analysis of any incidents occurring Maintain regular contact with all project teams and Senior managers to advise on HSE matters
