Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hybrid WFH - 2 to 3 days per week

Job Description:

As the Lead Electronics Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading the design and development of cutting-edge electronic systems for electric vehicles. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will spearhead the creation of next- electronic architectures, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the future of transportation through innovation and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of electronic systems for electric vehicles, including power electronics, control systems, and embedded systems.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including hardware engineers, firmware engineers, and system integration specialists, to define electronic system requirements and specifications.
  • Drive the architecture, design, and implementation of electronic hardware, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct detailed analysis, simulation, and testing of electronic circuits and components to optimize performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Lead design reviews, risk assessments, and troubleshooting efforts to resolve technical issues and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Work closely with suppliers and external partners to source components, resolve technical challenges, and support the manufacturing and production of electronic systems.
  • Support validation and certification activities, including EMC/EMI testing, functional safety assessments, and regulatory compliance testing.
  • Contribute to the development of technical documentation, including schematics, PCB layouts, design specifications, and test plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven track record of at least 7 years in electronics design, with a focus on hardware design and development.
  • Extensive experience in designing electronic systems for automotive or electric vehicle applications is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in electronic design tools and software, such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or similar tools.
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, including microcontrollers, FPGAs, power supplies, and sensors.
  • Hands-on experience with PCB layout design, signal integrity analysis, and EMC/EMI mitigation techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, results-oriented approach to engineering challenges.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Familiarity with automotive safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262) and regulatory requirements (e.g., EMC, EMI) is advantageous.
