Are you looking for a technically challenging, scientific based Systems job? This is an opportunity to join one of the leading companies in the UK - the R&D group focuses on developing highly complex scientific instrumentation and are responsible for developing new products from concept through to manufacture, as well as supporting manufacturing with ongoing product lines.

To collaborate with stakeholders to define system design and specification, covering concept development, design calculations or modelling for optical, mechanical, electronic or algorithmic aspects of the system depending on experience and project requirements
Investigation of selected manufacturing/field failures in order to determine root cause and initiate remedial actions
Understand the products’ performance parameters both at the system and sub-system level
Actively participate in troubleshooting activities including root cause analysis both in the context of new product development and ongoing manufacturing issues

At least a bachelor's degree or higher in Physics, or a related subject
High level of engineering / physics / maths knowledge
Ability to use complex software
