Role Overview: As an IT Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for technical issues within our client's organisation. You will play a crucial role in troubleshooting hardware and software problems, managing networks, and ensuring that our systems run smoothly. Your expertise will help maintain our client's IT infrastructure's reliability, security, and efficiency, enabling the team to focus on what they do best.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, networks, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in various systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement new technologies and improve existing systems.
  • Document support requests and resolutions, ensuring a thorough knowledge base is maintained.

Qualifications:

  • Some proven experience as an IT Support Specialist, Help Desk Technician, or similar role.
  • Some knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, and cloud services.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
