Our client are looking for a proactive and experienced Civil Supervisor to oversee construction activities and ensure the timely and efficient completion of civil engineering projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising site operations, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance throughout the construction process. Responsibilities Supervise day-to-day construction activities on-site, including earthworks, roadworks, drainage, and utilities installation, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and health and safety regulations. Coordinate and manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, providing clear instructions, guidance, and support to ensure the smooth progress of work and the achievement of project milestones. Monitor workmanship and construction quality to ensure compliance with project standards and specifications, conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective measures as required. Promote a culture of safety on-site, enforcing company health and safety policies and procedures, conducting toolbox talks, and identifying and mitigating potential hazards to ensure the well-being of all personnel. Manage site resources efficiently, including materials, equipment, and manpower, to optimize productivity, minimize wastage, and control project costs within budgetary constraints. Provide regular progress reports to project managers and stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, issues, and deviations from the project schedule or budget, and proposing solutions to overcome challenges. Maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders, addressing any concerns or queries promptly and professionally to ensure client satisfaction and project success. Maintain accurate site records, including daily activity logs, site diaries, and as-built drawings, and ensure all relevant documentation is completed, filed, and archived in accordance with company procedures. Requirements Proven experience as a Civil Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry, with a focus on civil engineering projects such as roads, highways, drainage, or infrastructure works. Thorough knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage multidisciplinary teams and effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels. Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying issues, implementing solutions, and making decisions in a fast-paced construction environment. Sound understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices, with a commitment to promoting a safe working culture and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Proficiency in using construction management software, Microsoft Office applications, and other relevant tools for scheduling, reporting, and documentation.
