You will:
- Provide technical leadership for the successful delivery of multi-discipline offshore cable projects.
- Design and engineer submarine cable systems, including route selection, cable type, cable specifications, and installation methods.
- Conduct feasibility studies, performing cable load calculations, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to develop optimal cable designs that meet project requirements.
- Select appropriate cable types, determining routing and cable burial requirements and risk assessments, calculating cable ratings.
- Design development of array cables, optimizing array and export cables.
- Actively take part in Industry working groups such as CIGRE, IEEE.
If you have experience in the following, we'd love to hear from you:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline, preferably Electrical or Power Engineering.
- Prior experience in offshore cable engineering, marine renewable energy, or oil and gas industry is highly desirable.
- Desirable - HVDC projects both onshore and offshore; including HV cable system design and ratings (CYMCAP).
- Strong knowledge of submarine cable systems, including cable design, installation methods, and industry standards.
- Familiarity with offshore design development works, marine construction projects, and subsea infrastructure design.
- Attained or working towards Chartered Engineer status.
- The ability to travel as projects dictate.
