We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the Treasury team of one the markets latest Wealth Management businesses, based in the North of England. This role will support the Senior Treasury Manager in the development, embedding and day-to-day running of the Treasury function (CASS and firm monies), ensuring compliance with the FCA prudential and CASS requirements

Role Description
  • Support the Senior Treasury Manager in the development of the Treasury function including policies, processes and procedures ensuring alignment with the companies risk appetite and compliance with FCA Handbook
  • Execute the strategy for the client and firm deposit portfolios, ensuring deals are within policy
  • Ensure the safeguarding of all cash and management of counterparty and liquidity risk
  • Adherence to business processes and procedures that are designed to meet the regulatory standards set out in the relevant FCA rules and guidance, with particular reference to CASS regulation
  • Daily cash management of the companies client and firm money ensuring investments meet all regulatory requirements, internal policies and liquidity needs
  • Production of the daily, weekly and monthly Treasury reporting requirements which include but are not limited to forecasting cash flows and interest rates, due diligence, regulatory reporting, liquidity reporting and committee documentation
  • Support in the annual review of the Treasury and Liquidity policy for Board approval
  • Maintain the first line of defence in relation to identifying and mitigating operational risks in line with the policies set out by the firm
  • Develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships at all levels
  • Promote a positive work environment that encourages productivity, innovation, creativity and teamwork
  • Cross support for the production of monthly capital and liquidity management information for presentation to internal committees, including monitoring of early warning indicators and key performance indicators
  • Cross support for the production of FCA regulatory returns
  • Support with the production of capital and liquidity stress testing and wind down planning where required
  • Support for ad hoc projects as and when required
Role Requirements
  • Experience in working within a Treasury/ Cash Management function, preferably in financial services
  • Understanding of the FCA CASS handbook and how applied within Treasury is preferable
  • Highly numerate and ability to resolve complex problems
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, and ability to manage high workloads
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to use own initiative, whilst also being a valuable team player
  • Ability to produce accurate work within agreed timescales/ deadline

This person will play a key role in driving the strategy of Treasury going forward and will be responsible for implementing and driving change and improvement projects

This Treasury Advisory team works with a wide range of companies and is especially focused on businesses that are restructuring or refinancing their debt.

The team provides deep financial and treasury experience in financial products and markets, risk management, and treasury best practice activities. Part of this team is the Hedging Advisory and Derivative Execution team, which provides expertise on Currency and Interest Rate risks.

They help clients to quantify their financial risks, define appropriate risk management priorities and objectives, structure suitable hedging strategies, and optimise the derivatives execution process to achieve efficiency and savings.
