Reporting to our client’s London Project Lead, as a senior member of a multi-discipline team, specifically responsible for managing detailed design, supporting procurement activities, managing construction execution, C&Q and final turn over of the project scope for R&D lab and office facility.
• This candidate will be required to work closely with project core team and varies stakeholders including Suite team, Design partner, Construction team, Safety team, Procurement team, Project controls team, Users team, etc,

Reporting to our clients Project Lead.
• Define and agree, with stakeholders and the Project Lead, the physical and procedural scope and scope boundaries, within the project footprint.
• Lead the development of project plans and successfully execute according to the established safety, schedule, cost and performance standards.
• Manage those project plans for detailed design, construction, commissioning schedule and cost in collaboration with other core team and extended team members, together with outside contractor and trade partners.
• Lead and manage scope, budget, schedule, safety, quality and personnel discussions with the Project Lead.
• In Conjunction with other core team members to develop, document, agree and implement an execution strategy to deliver project scope in a coordinated, controlled and well communicated manner.
• Coordinate the design effort together with FEL partner and ensure compliance to applicable local & global Standards.
• Facilitate engineering and user requirements for the project Suites.
• Track and report progress as required against project deliverables.
• Foster a strong relationship between the Client Project Team (MRL, GHH & GWES), D&B Contractor (Integrator), Sub Contractors (under D&B) and direct vendors to ensure delivery of project.
• Ensure that a strong safety culture is adopted throughout the execution of the project.
• Lead and facilitate the coordinated review of design material from the owner’s side including Layout reviews, P&ID reviews, Functional Descriptions, Specifications, change control processes and PO’s/Data Sheets.
• Facilitate the coordinated development of construction, procurement, C&Q and project control strategies, into plans for the execution of the project.
• Maintain a project wide clean and safe working environment by enforcing procedures, policies, and regulations.

Safety of all project team members for the duration of the design, construction, commissioning and handover of the project scope.
• Management of scope issues as they arise during the project
• Delivery of stakeholder agreed scope to Commissioning and Handover.

Demonstrated performance in building and managing multi-functional teams.
• Demonstrated performance in delivering an excellent safety record on large projects.
• Experience leading projects and cross-functional initiatives.
• In-depth understanding of large scale R&D and office facility project including design , construction and C&Q management.
• Experience of change management and ensure that oversight is provided in relation to project changes, that they are tracked, managed, and implemented correctly.
• Ability to engage and align other stakeholders outside the project team.
• Ability to understand and communicate risks and to develop risk mitigation strategies within a risk management process.
• Inspires high performance by holding the team accountable for results, evaluates progress and achievement, addresses issues through appropriate channels; Ability to create, coordinate and maintain a project plan and rapidly respond to changes in strategy and project scope.
• Expertise with project management tools, including skills in critical path analysis.
• Understand financial and resource planning systems and processes having the ability to coordinate project level budget/resource estimates and manage actuals vs plan.
• Previous experience, and knowledge, of the use of BIM models to harness schedule, cost, construction and quality drivers on a project would be very desirable.
• Fluent in English, written and verbal.
• Ability to generate and communicate project plans and schedules.
• Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, database management software, CAD software, schedule management software (P6), and PCs.
• BMS and Smart Building experience beneficial.
• Experience in the operation and maintenance of R&D and office facility is preferred.

Bachelor of Engineering or Science Degree in Engineering or Technology related discipline.
• A minimum of ten years of relevant experience in project management of larger projects including significant experience managing R&D/office projects.
• Previous experience working within the pharmaceutical sector will be advantageous.
