Our client is a respected engineering organisation operating in many sectors including energy, aerospace, marine and defence. On behalf of this client we are looking for a number of Inspectors which will be responsible for the inspection of aerospace components to join on a 12-month contract . Please note this role is going to be on a rotating shift pattern (mornings, afternoons and nights).
In this role, you will be using visual, dimensional inspection techniques and CMM machines to find any non-conformance on aerospace engine components. This could be intermediate inspection, receipt and dispatch of components or final clear inspection. Work to client's Technical Instructions to deliver consistent, high-quality Inspection across a variety of different components and product families.
Operate a variety of Inspection equipment, including CMM-s, Micrometres, plug gauges, shadow graphs and table-top measuring equipment.
Assess whether the quality of components produced within the facility meets the required standards.
Completed advanced level engineering apprenticeship* and NVQ/SVQ level 3 or equivalent.
Aerospace parts/components inspection experience - highly desirable.
Clear and demonstrated understanding of drawing interpretation, calibration, dimensional and visual inspection.
*Please note that due to recent changes in Off Payroll (IR35) legislation, our client only operates with contractors that operate via a PAYE model.
