London, United Kingdom Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Come and start your career in podiatry with Guy's and St Thomas' and join our team of 30 podiatrists where you will have the opportunity to gain skills across a very broad spectrum of podiatry specialisms. We work from several sites across both Southwark and Lambeth, the largest of which has 6 couches, so there's plenty of opportunities to work alongside and learn from our senior colleagues.

Newly qualified podiatrists will join the Trust's Preceptorship Programme.

As well as our clinics, you would be undertaking two days of home visits per week. For this we provide a car and remote IT devices to help make things easier for you. We will offer training and mentorship within our general clinics, wound care, MSK and nail surgery.

Don't miss this chance to kick start your career by joining one of the UK's largest NHS Trust providers, with all the support and opportunities that this provides.

Good luck - we look forward to receiving your application.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a Band 5 podiatrist to join Guy's and St Thomas' Community Foot Health team in the London boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark.

Our service involves treating a diverse patient cohort, many of whom have complex needs. We are looking for enthusiastic podiatrists who will strive to meet our exemplary standards of care.

Patient care also takes place in patients' own homes and the role will include two days of home visits a week. We provide all our clinical staff with a laptop for accessing our IT infrastructure from anywhere and you will have access to our fleet of pool cars for undertaking home visits so you will not be expected to use your own car.

Our senior podiatrists will closely support and mentor you in developing your clinical skills, expertise and learning needs. We expect you to be able to work both as part of a team and autonomously and to be an effective communicator.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK's largest NHS Trust providers in one of the most dynamic and exciting cities in the world . So If you believe you are forward thinking, dedicated and are keen to develop further then we would be very interested to hear from you. We welcome applications from new graduates.

About us

We are a large community based service comprised of thirty podiatrists and two podiatry assistants who work across nine clinicalsites in the central London Boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark. We have a fantastic, diverse and friendly team and we work closely with those in the hospital based teams at Guy's and St Thomas'. The hospital sites offer multidisciplinary team wound care and review, musculoskeletal services including shock wave therapy and podiatric surgery.

We schedule regular education sessions where we can all come together to enhance our knowledge as a team and have quarterly team meetings alongside the hospital based team.
