About the role:

As SEN Teacher at Brookways School, you will be an integral part of our team who put the children and young people at the heart of everything we do. You will plan, assess and deliver outstanding teaching and learning using proven methods and approaches that enable all young people to learn, whilst ensuring that pastoral needs are also met. You will establish excellent relationships with parents and carers and inspire trust and confidence in pupils, colleagues, families and other professionals.

About you:

For this role, we are looking for someone who holds QTS or QTLS along with experience of teaching Humanities and experience of working with children with SEND and ASC. With a proven ability to deliver high quality, lively and effective classroom teaching in an autism-friendly way, which engages and motivates young people you’ll be someone who has a passion for supporting them to learn and develop, and you’ll want to make a difference to the lives and education of our children and young people. Brookways School, part of Kedleston Group, is an independent specialist day school in North Cheam, for children and young people aged between the ages of 7 and 16. We provide a safe learning environment for pupils living with autism (ASC), mainly Asperger’s Syndrome and higher functioning autism, who also face other challenges such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyslexia and pathological demand avoidance (PDA).

We look for people to join our staff team who have the creativity and enthusiasm needed to deliver the best outcomes for the children and young people.
