Senior SRE – Digital Asset Platform

On offer here is the opportunity to be involved in the next phase of scaling within the London office of one of the world’s most well-established digital asset exchanges & wallet providers. You will be on the front line, whilst they further solidify their stronghold within the crypto landscape. As a fundamental position within the SRE / DevOps department, this offers a chance to work with cutting edge blockchain technology, with a laser focus on their blockchain and coin node services.

You will:

  1. Collaborate with a talented team of similarly minded engineers, whilst supporting a culture of continuous development & innovation.
  2. Build and maintain highly distributed & reliable systems.
  3. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and colleagues across several verticals.
  4. Maintain system performance & ensure maximum uptime for users and internal teams.
  5. Continue to modernize the existing infrastructure, whilst considering deeper implications surrounding security, latency & bandwidth.
  6. Be confident in adapting to new tools & technologies.

Looking for:

  • Strong at automation in at least one language, with a preference for Golang or Python.
  • Good working knowledge of Linux OS, with at least a basic understanding of networking.
  • Good experience with K8’s and Docker for containerization & orchestration.
  • Strong IaC understanding (Terraform) & sound config. Management familiarity.
  • Proven history of working with CI/CD pipelines (GitOps).
  • Comfortable working with messaging systems (e.g. Kafka).
  • Experience running blockchain nodes (BTC / BCH / ETH).
  • Understanding of blockchain mechanics (e.g. PoW & PoS, slashing, jailing etc.)

Bonus Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working in a hyper-growth start-up or scale-up environment.
  • Knowledge of routing & switching protocols, exposure to DB management/Data Centers.
  • Any experience with Hashicorp tools (Nomad / Consul / Vault).
