As a Multi Trade Maintenance Technician at HM Prison Buckley Hall, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of maintenance assignments across different trades. Your duties will include, but are not limited to: Basic Plumbing: Addressing drainage issues, blockages, taps, washers, etc. Carpentry: Installing and repairing skirting, architraves, and changing locks. Painting & Decorating: Touching up paint, and ensuring the facility remains visually appealing. Patch Plastering: Repairing damaged areas to maintain the integrity of the infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with other tradespeople, such as electricians and plumbers, to ensure that all necessary repairs are conducted effectively and efficiently. Additionally, you will be expected to be available on an on-call rota and ensure that all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with health and safety regulations. Required Qualifications/Skills Proven experience in basic plumbing, carpentry, painting & decorating, and patch plastering. Includes having an NVQ Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication skills to interact with colleagues and supervisors. Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to maintenance work.
