Full Time Contract (3 months )

Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Prosecutions Lawyer in Enfield. This is a contract with a scope for extension working full time hours.

Responsibilities include:

  • To conduct all aspects of complex and/or politically sensitive legal matters
  • To support, supervise and mentor colleagues where required by Principal Lawyer or Assistant Principal
  • To contribute to the management and strategy of the Legal Services Team
  • To advise members in public and private meetings including committees and sub-committees.
  • To conduct own advocacy and on behalf of the team, where relevant, including interim hearings

The candidate:

  • Qualified Solicitor of England and Wales, Barrister, CILEX or equivalent
  • At least 3 years' post-qualification experience in Prosecutions and Enforcement
  • Experience in at least one of the following:
    • Prosecutions under the Housing Act 2004
    • Regulatory Crime;
    • Fraud;
    • Advocacy;
    • Environmental Health Crime
