Akton are recruiting on behalf of a client who is looking for a BMS Service Engineer to join their team in London on a permanent, full-time basis.
Our client improves user experiences by connecting people with disruptive digital technology and uses data insights to deliver models back to customers. Improving building and energy related performance. This is achieved by disrupting traditional service and energy approaches within buildings and spaces, via in-house technology and forward-thinking consultancy offerings which lower the total cost of ownership for customers. Connectivity is achieved in several ways: Connect building BMS and associated systems into singular view SaaS platform.The above + integration with IoT sensor technology to change behavioural patterns.
Connect buildings via IoT sensor technology directly fed back into SaaS platform.Our client currently delivers project work ranging from £10k - £1.5m in singular size + variations via an evolving blend of in-house delivery supplemented by a selection of specialist supply chain partners. With an aggressive growth strategy over the next 3-5 years, this role will be paramount in helping to define, shape and grow the team to ensure they grow sustainably. The role will include carrying out tasks on contracted customer sites, including PFI Schools, PFI Hospitals, Government Estates and MOD sites. The successful applicant will build an on-going relationship with all customers looking after the needs of the site and making improvements where applicable. Responsibilities Install, configure, and commission BMS components and equipment, including sensors, controllers, actuators, and software systems.
Carry out maintenance checks on Trend, Tridium and Distech BMS's on various sites.
Reactive call out rota will be worked (additional financial benefit included for being on call and attending)
Provide technical assistance and support to clients regarding their BMS systems.
Identify opportunities for improvement/remedial works to improve the performance of the BMS's for clients.Requirements City & Guild / BTec / NVQ Electrical.
Extensive knowledge & experience of BMS / HVAC.
Knowledge & experience with either Trend, Tridium Controls/Niagara/Distech/Siemens (not all are required as training will be provided)
Excellent working knowledge of the electrical industry.
Ability to read and interpret Electrical & Mechanical schematic diagrams.
Understanding of IT networks.
Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.
Full UK driving license.
Controls training / experience.
Experience with fault finding in electrical panels.
