Role Summary:

The candidate with undertake the management of the facilities of the ISS sites. The overall focus of the role will be to ensure that the facilities are safe, compliant, meet with our customer s reasonable expectations, and maintained on a best VFM basis.

This is a multisite role

Main Responsibilities:

  • To fully manage the maintenance and development of the ISS facilities at Linton (tenants), Sittingbourne (owner) and Teynham (tenant). This includes:
    • Repairs & maintenance of the buildings and outside spaces.
    • Repairs & maintenance of building equipment including heating, water and alarms but excluding MHE, packing equipment and refrigeration.
    • Energy consumption and monitoring.
    • Waste disposal including contract management and recyclate sales.
    • Service contracts including cleaning, vending and sanitary.
    • Extensions and fit outs to buildings and offices.
    • Ordering, Managing and Stock control of Site-specific consumables.
    • Ordering, Managing and Stock control of PPE for all sites.
  • To record, monitor and report upon energy usage internally and to Group customers.
  • To record, monitor and report upon waste disposal both internally and to Group customers.
  • To consult with key functional managers to ensure Technical and H&S compliance, and optimal operational functionality.
  • Responding quickly to emergencies that arise in workplaces and dealing with them appropriately.
  • Play a key role in the discussions of building infrastructure, space utilisation, services and equipment requirements of any new major capital projects.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with operation and safety of all M&E equipment, with responsibility for works sign off and method statements prior to any works starting.
  • Ensure that all external contractors and maintenance personnel are made aware of and comply with Health and Safety regulations.
  • Co-ordinate and supervise allocation of work, ensuring a high quality of work and service are completed in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Educated to GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Ability and willingness to be flexible, thorough and show attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure, to strict deadlines.
  • Be organised and methodical in your approach to work.
  • Experienced and comfortable using Microsoft Excel & Outlook
  • Experience in management of facilities, maintenance or engineering
