Job Details

  • Managing portfolio of high value/catastrophic injury claims in excess of £1m to a high standard

  • Developing the technical claims skills of the large loss team to allow them to grow as handlers (through coaching, mentoring and training)

  • Ensuring all new and internally reallocated claims are reserved within 6 weeks

  • Maintaining and improving stakeholder confidence in the Large Loss team by ensuring these high value cases are handled with a high degree of technical excellence

  • Acting as a technical referral point to Large Loss Handlers

  • Carrying out technical audits

  • Ensuring reserving accuracy on receipt of new and relevant information to ensure minimal inaccuracies found in audits

  • Assist in arranging the Large Loss Bi-annual Technical Forums


Skills we would love you to have

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of settling claims in excess of £1m including litigation and financial/handling authority of £5m or more

  • Great stakeholder management

  • Passionate about ongoing colleague coaching and development

  • ACII qualified or significant progress towards this is preferable
