GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a hugely successful and highly recognised leading international manufacturer located in Droitwich. We are recruiting on their behalf for a Quality Inspector to join their team on a full time, permanent contract to be involved in inspecting parts, including involvement in and preparation for source inspection. This position is working double days 05:45am – 14:00pm and 14:00pm – 22:00pm Monday to Friday. £15.65 per hour, (£31,636) plus shift allowance and overtime is available. Previous inspection/quality experience and knowledge of parts is essential to be considered, along with the ability to read technical specifications. Quality Inspector main duties:
- Interpret computerised data sheet specifications and translate into practice using metallic linishing techniques.
- Measure casts using gauges and other measurement tools to ensure that linishing is within acceptable boundaries.
- Maintain the upkeep of all tools and report any maintenance concerns to line manager.
- Accurately input and update records and other administration as required.
- Plan workload to achieve required delivery expectations and communicate any issues with line manager.
- Work safely, efficiently and maintain quality procedures to minimise waste.
- Maintain a safe working environment, following procedures and complying with current regulations.
- Comply with and support the EHS polices, processes and programmes
- Inspection/quality experience and knowledge of parts essential
- Source inspection experience beneficial
- Experience of linishing metallic materials
- Experience using air tools
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work precisely, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Can consistently maintain high quality working standards.
- Able to read technical specifications.
- Previous experience of working within casting, automotive, steel manufacturing or aeronautical industries.
