Job Description

NRL are looking Process Engineers of all levels, to work with some of large nuclear clients in Warrington. These are either contract roles (inside IR35) or permanent positions.
As a Process Engineer, you will be delivering the process design elements, including but not limited to key process engineering activities, process safety assessments and leading on HAZOPs and design reviews. You will need to ensure that our quality assurance processes are followed, whilst meeting project requirements and expectations of our clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
Functional input to projects, including where relevant leading the input of other (possibly multidisciplinary) engineers and subcontractors, to ensure engineering delivery meets scope, time, cost and quality.
Carry out engineering calculations and check the work of more junior staff to deliver a quality functional input to projects.
Plan and prioritise own work so that parallel activities are all completed in a timely manner.
Generate and check engineering estimates and execution strategies to provide optimal solutions and eliminate errors.
Recognise and address potential and actual cross-discipline issues and conflicts so that overall engineering input to a project is coherent.
Proactively generate value adding options within projects to offer to clients.
Support the process engineering manager in non-project-based activities such as development of procedures, resource planning, establishing policy, budgeting, recruitment etc, to support the drive to continuously improve and optimise the operation of the department
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
Chartered Engineer status with a recognised professional body (e.g. IChemE)
Proven track record of leading process delivery on projects to meet deadlines and high-quality standards.
Adaptable Process Engineering experience, and ability to use transferable skills across a wide range of projects and industries.
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
A good knowledge of Process Design Health, Safety and Environmental (DHSE) issues and knowledge of key regulations (e.g. DSEAR, CDM, COMAH) is preferable.
Experience of working in highly regulated environments would be advantageous
