Job Overview:

The Conceptual Packaging Designer is a dynamic and strategic role within our creative team, tasked with on creating on point, and vibrantpackaging concepts that capture the essence of the brand and market trends. This role is perfect for a visionary designer who thrives in conceptualizing outside-the-box solutions and can translate these ideas into tangible products.The Conceptual Packaging Designer will play a critical role in making products stand out on the shelves and in the minds of consumers.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Lead the conceptualization and design of vibrant and creativepackaging solutions that meet client and consumerneed, and marketing strategies, within a fast-paced organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that packaging concepts are feasible, cost-effective, and align with brand identity.
  • Present concepts and prototypes to internal stakeholders, incorporating feedback to refine and evolve designs.
  • Work closely with production teams to ensure designs can be efficiently produced without compromising on creativity or functionality.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, materials, and technologies that can enhance packaging innovation and sustainability.
  • Ensure that all packaging designs adhere to regulatory requirements, environmental guidelines, and quality standards.
  • Translate complex concepts into clear, engaging presentation materials to effectively communicate design visions to stakeholders.
  • Manage the end-to-end design process, from ideation and illustration if required through to production, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Deliver and presentfinished designs to the client where required.
  • Work across a range of categories and running high-volume projects efficientlywith the ability to deliver fast paced concepts within tight deadlines.
  • Work with stock imagery to create photo-realistic serving suggestion compositions.
  • Work with style guides and brand guidelines to ensure brand compliance, check and proofread designs to ensure a consistent, high level of precision and accuracy.
  • Attend design and project briefings, liaising with Account Manager to understand the client brief.
  • Working collaboratively across teams, inspire junior members of the teams, demonstrate our Core Values and champion our high standards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Design, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Packaging Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing innovative concepts and executed designs.
  • High proficiency in design software, including Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Exceptional understanding of packaging materials, production techniques, and sustainability practices.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Ability to think critically, solve problems creatively, and manage the design process from conceptualization to production.
  • Passion for branding and a keen sense of market trends, consumer behaviors, and competitive landscape.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Innovative mindset with an eagerness to challenge the status quo and drive packaging innovation.
Working Conditions:
  • Office-based role with regular collaboration sessions across various departments
  • Flexibility in work hours may be necessary to meet project deadlines and accommodate different time zones.
