Responsible for the development and the execution of 12 to 18 month marketing plans for WD-40 general maintenance brands in the UK trade channel, the role reports into our UK Marketing Manager.

The Trade Marketing Manager develops and delivers marketing plans/initiatives within defined brand strategy, to support a Category Management approach for WD-40 and WD-40 Specialist products that increase physical and mental availability with consumers, penetration of brands with customers, broaden distribution and improve category profitability. Provide strategic planning recommendations.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provides marketing programs targeting Trades people to broaden distribution, drive awareness and product trial through trade/hardware and wholesale channels through: Advertising, Promotions, Events, Sampling, Sponsorship, PR, Online content & Literature.
  • Development and implementation of customer plans and proposals in collaboration with Key Account Managers and Marketing and Digital teams.
  • Sources brand partners (where there is potential for ‘brand synergy’) and managing 3rd party relationships with providers (with complimentary values)

What You’ll Bring To The Role

  • Degree or equivalent / CIM Cert / Diploma preferable
  • 3+ years marketing experience working with brands ideally within Trade in Europe inclusive of marketing plan development, collateral development and tactical execution.
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet sales and EBITDA goals within budget and established timelines
  • Experience implementing and analyzing data from a variety of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
  • Budget planning, forecasting, tracking and management.
  • Preparing briefs and managing third party agencies.
  • Project management, coordination and implementation.
  • Event management
