We are currently seeking a meticulous and experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our team. The Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for overseeing health and safety procedures within the workplace to ensure compliance with regulations and create a safe working environment for all employees.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, Operations team and Directors, you will assist in providing advice from Site to Senior Management level on sites across the North West.

You will be an integral member of the safety team and will aid in the development and continual monitoring of safety systems and procedures.

Duties:

You will be responsible for:

* Development, maintenance and implementation of all areas of the company's Health & Safety Management System

* Managing ISO's (quality systems)

* Creating your own policies and procedures, and ensuring they are implemented by liaising with site teams to ensure compliance.

* Liaising with third parties where required.

* Ensure staff receive adequate assistance & support to enable them to implement Health & Safety effectively.

* Ensure all accidents and dangerous occurrences are reported and investigated.

* Monitoring of sites and undertaking audits where required with respect to Environmental, Health & Safety and Sub-Contractor issues.

* Reporting to the MD with respect to Environmental, Health & Safety, Sub-Contractor performance and training requirements for staff

* Contribute Health & Safety information to tenders and proposals.

Experience/ Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have experience working on refurbishment contracts for ideally a Social Housing Contractor and would ideally hold the below qualifications (ideal but not essential)

* NEBOSH qualification (ideally Construction)

* NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Practice - ideal but not essential

* Abrasive Wheels, Face Fit, Fire Marshal, CSCS Card all being ideal but not essential.

* Degree in Safety Health and Environmental Management - ideal but not essential

* IOSH Working Safely

* IOSH Managing Safely

* Mental Health First Aider (MHFA)

* BOHS -Management of Asbestos in buildings (P405)

* CITB Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)

Must be willing to travel across the North West.
