We believe the future is local. We’re building a nationwide network of neighbourhood workspaces designed to become new local centres for work, culture, and community. We craft beautifully designed spaces on local high streets and town centres to support people to ‘Work Near Home’, achieve a better work-life balance, and build thriving careers and businesses in their communities. We also serve as a venue for cultural and community gatherings. We build relationships with our members, local groups, and cultural organisations to support and host a programme of publicly accessible workshops, talks and events. This autumn, we will open in Bournemouth, making our home in the iconic Bobby’s building. Our vision is to create a new hub for the South Coast’s entrepreneurs, creatives, and community builders. Inside, you’ll find a range of meeting and event spaces (including a podcast studio and wellness studio), and a suite of workspaces, from coworking studios to private offices. This represents an ongoing commitment to demonstrating that businesses can lead positive social and environmental change and be a force for good in our communities.
At our venue, you will lead and nurture our Bournemouth home, with the support of a proactive local team, to realise your vision. We're seeking someone entrepreneurial, commercially minded, and motivated to engage deeply with the South Coast community. This role offers an equity ownership opportunity, reflecting our commitment to your long-term growth and success.
Community Integration: Strengthen ties with local leaders and groups to integrate our venue into Bournemouth's community. Enhance local culture and support businesses through our platform.
Collaborate with the Growth team to enhance local engagement.
Ensure financial accountability and site success.
Cultural Programming: Develop local cultural events and partnerships, and work with our in-house café to make our venue a hub for local creatives and entrepreneurs.
Leadership and Team Building: Lead a high-performing team that upholds our brand daily. Regularly assess site standards and quality.
Advocacy: Enhance our presence through active involvement in content creation, crafting engaging local newsletters, promoting our initiatives on LinkedIn, and fostering robust networks and relationships.
Skilled in building strong relationships.
Community-Focused: Commercial Acumen: Proficient with financials and enjoys negotiations.
Local Advocate: Takes pride in enhancing the local community.
Uses first principles of thinking for creative problem-solving.
3+ years in hospitality, retail, or membership environment management.
~ Proven leadership skills with a focus on empathetic, team-oriented management.
~ Experience in sales, event management, or community engagement is highly desirable.
Balanced: Work and personal needs should be in concert, not in competition.
