About Us:
We are a vibrant secondary school in Coventry dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for our students. We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Pastoral Manager to join our team on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide pastoral support to students, addressing their social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support student well-being.
  • Manage and implement pastoral care programs and initiatives.
  • Monitor and track student attendance, behavior, and progress.
  • Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to student welfare.
  • Promote a positive school culture and environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a pastoral or similar role within an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and discretion.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work.
