We are now recruiting multiple senior finance professionals at Band U to help drive capability, insight and financial strategy across critical areas of operational and corporate delivery. The Opportunities – Strategic Finance Leadership Roles (Band U) We are seeking to appoint into the following positions: Each of these roles plays a distinct part in safeguarding financial sustainability, strengthening insight, and supporting operational effectiveness across the MPS. The Roles Senior Management Accountant – Management Accounting & Insight You will lead management accounting and forecasting across major portfolios (~£2.2bn), overseeing a team of Management Accountants. You will enhance financial insight, improve the maturity of forecasting models, and ensure that financial performance is clearly articulated to decision-makers under the Met Business Services (MBS) operating model. Strategic Finance Lead – Capital You will provide financial leadership over a complex, multi-year capital investment programme covering estates, fleet, technology and specialist infrastructure. Acting as a trusted advisor on affordability, capital prioritisation, long-term modelling and risk, you will shape major investment decisions aligned to strategic priorities and regulatory standards. Strategic Finance Lead – Efficiency You will drive strategic affordability insight, supporting the delivery of efficiency plans across the MPS. You will lead multi-year savings modelling, performance benchmarking and financial scenario analysis, providing insight that informs spending review planning, value-for-money assessments and long-term organisational sustainability. Senior Finance Business Partner (x2) You will act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, bringing financial clarity to frontline and corporate decision-making. You will lead on budget planning, scenario modelling and performance analysis, ensuring that financial choices are aligned to operational purpose, strategic direction and long-term viability. What You'll Bring We are looking for finance leaders who can translate numbers into influence, analysis into strategy and data into decisions that matter.
