Job Description

Reporting into the Accounts Payable Manager, the key duties for the Accounts Payable Clerk are:

  • Process accounts payable transactions
  • Maintain accurate financial records
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
  • Verify discrepancies and resolve client billing issues
  • Organise invoices and expense reports
  • Perform monthly reconciliations
  • Assist with month-end closing
  • Participate in financial audits
  • Ad hoc duties

The Successful Applicant

A successful Accounts Payable Clerk should have:e

  • Proficient knowledge in accounts payable- preferably experience dealing with high volume invoice processing
  • Ability to handle sensitive, complex and confidential information
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
