Production Director
A local engineering company who specialises in Metal Fabrication, Welding and Plasma Cutting now requires a Production Director to join their team.
Production Director - Job Role:
Responsible for delivery of company objectives in terms of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People (SQCDP) within the company.
Ensuring the disciplined execution of Daily Management
* Contributing to the site strategy through Strategy Deployment process and ensuring its execution in the Business.
* Exemplify a safety-first mindset ensuring the company Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) framework, standard and policies are adhered to.
* Quality
* Ensure Cell Leaders and Team Members follow manufacturing methods and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain product conformance and traceability.
* Ensure Cell Leaders and Team Members perform component quality checks using calibrated measuring equipment.
Manage the allocated Business financial budget.
* Ensure assets are maintained with a “brand new forever” mindset through the deployment and adherence to the site Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) system.
* Provide input to Capex projects.
Daily achievement of the Production Plan.
* Be open, honest, and timely when appraising and managing individuals’ performance whilst supporting and coaching the closure of performance gaps.
* Production Director - Person Requirements:
The ideal candidate MUST come from the Manufacturing Industry as a Production Director. Ideally hold an Engineering qualification such as HNC, HND, BEng of MBA or similar
* Ideally come from a Metal Fabrication, Precision Machining, Welding, Plasma Cutting type background.
