Founded in 2018, MPL are part of the ERGO Group by being their own in-house third-party administrator. We manage multiple line claims for both its own and external customers. We are ahead of the curve by using cutting edge technology to help enhance our services provided and revolutionise the insurance claims outsourcing arena. Using MPL Technology, our expert team designs and builds claims management products from first principles, enable us to have unparalleled features and a seamless, modern experience for our customers.
Our exciting opportunity
In this role, as a Motor Desktop Engineer, you will providing technical guidance to claims teams across MPL in accordance with industry standards. As part of the Engineering team, you will be delivering excellent service to all customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Negotiating settlement of motor vehicles damage claims, supporting claims teams with concise information as well as liaising with customers directly where required.
Providing technical guidance to the claims teams in accordance with agreed service levels and on occasions other areas within the business.
Supporting the claims team, making decisions on relation to the vehicle damage.
Making and communicating decisions when managing repairs, total losses, valuation disputes, cases involving unrelated damage, complaints and applying policy conditions/limits.
Always ensuring your advice is compliant with guidelines and other relevant standards/ regulations.
Continued professional development in line with legislative changes.
Your skills and experience:
Previous Desktop Engineering experience is required for this role.
Qualifications must include, AQP.
Desired qualifications would include IAEA, MIMI or ATA VDA.
Experience within agricultural claims would be advantageous.
Professional communication skills, written and oral.
Good IT skills with ability to use Audatex, bespoke systems and software packages.

You will have a 3-month probationary period, and all benefits start from day one of joining the company.
What next?
The interview process for this position includes two stages. The first stage is an initial screening call, which will be conducted by a member of the Talent Acquisition team. During this call, you can expect to be asked about your experience and qualifications, as well as your interest in the position.
If you are successful in passing the initial screening call, you will progress to the second stage of the interview process, which is an in-person interview with both a member of the Talent Acquisition team and the Claims Team Leader. This interview will be more in-depth and may involve more technical questions about your previous experience and transferable skills so we can assess the suitability for the requirements of the role.
