This role is to join a , modern multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy, providing a wide range of services across the majority of industry sectors including commercial, health, education, defence, residential and community.

On joining you’ll be part of a friendly, collaborative group of building services design engineers, where you’ll feel like a trusted part of the team from day one.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities

The role will provide Engineering support to the Practice by providing expertise in the field of mechanical and building services engineering in the built environment to be included in design and project management.

* Carry out earning work, getting involved in design of schemes where appropriate and particularly where high-level technical expertise is required.

* Undertake feasibility studies as required.

* Draw up detailed specifications and drawings against client’s briefs.

* Review tenders received and prepare tender reports and recommendations.

* Project manage site works from commencement to completion.

* Carry out inspections of existing installations and submit condition reports.

* Check and prepare information for Invoicing each month.

* Manage day to day workload of individuals reporting directly to you and assist more junior staff with technical queries.

* Develop the client base of the by being proactive when marketing opportunities arise and maintaining relationships with existing clients.

* Prepare and/or contribute toward bids.

Essential skills and Experience

* Degree/Master’s degree in Engineering.

* Use of Amtech (Electrical) or IES (Mechanical) software.

* Use of AutoCAD and Revit.

* Familiar with relevant legislation, codes of practice, CIBSE guides, building regulations and best practice and environmentally sensitive.

* Chartered Engineer status or approaching.
