Role Overview

We are partnering with a leading consultancy that is rapidly expanding its economics team in London. They are seeking an experienced Competition Economist with strong leadership skills to manage cases and play a key role in building and growing the team.

This role offers an exceptional chance for someone looking to step outside the conventional consulting model and take a leadership position in shaping and developing new opportunities. You’ll be joining a reputable firm with an established industry presence, where you will lead efforts to expand the competition market, attract new clients, and build a dedicated team, all while capitalising on the firm’s strong brand and reputation.

As Director / Associate Director you will have immediate autonomy over the day-to-day management of high-profile competition cases. You’ll lead key projects, mentor junior team members, and ensure client satisfaction, while working closely with senior colleagues on strategic initiatives. This opportunity will allow you to sign-off on expert reports, testify from day one and have a clear route to Partner.

This role offers a unique opportunity to take ownership of key accounts, develop your personal network into a revenue-generating function, and expand your expertise in economic analysis. You’ll also play a crucial part in the growth of the London office, making a significant impact at a senior level.

Key Skills
  • MSc or PhD in Economics
  • Proven experience in competition economics, with a proven track record of managing cases
  • Leadership experience with a passion for team and career growth
  • Experience in managing cases within the competition space
  • Experience communicating and working with clients and/or key stakeholders
