Embedded Software Team Lead - LLVM / Compilers / GPU

We are working with the world's premier GPU development company who are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Team Lead to spearhead a talented team of engineers focused on developing cutting-edge compilers for next-generation GPUs. In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of how software interacts with these powerful graphics processors. This role will be based on-site in Cambridge and requires at least 2 days a week to be worked in the office.

In this role you will:

  • Lead the Charge: Provide strategic direction and technical leadership to your team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Architect of Performance: Drive the development of high-performance, optimized compilers that unlock the full potential of our GPUs.
  • Future Focused: Stay at the forefront of compiler technology, actively researching and implementing new advancements in the field.
  • Mentor and Inspire: Guide and mentor your team members, fostering their technical growth and development.

Requirements for this role:

  • Proven experience leading a software engineering team, with a strong track record of success.
  • Experience working hands-on in low level software development in C and C++ technologies
  • Experience leading teams who have worked on low-level software development projects

Nice to have:

  • Experience with compiler toolchains (LLVM, GCC), or a background working on graphics technologies/APIs
  • Knowledge of compiler design principles, optimization techniques, and GPU architectures
