Our Employment Tax team is growing and we are looking for a manager to join our team. You may be an experienced newly qualified tax adviser, assistant manager, manager, assistant director or even director with a passion for Employment Tax looking for a new and exciting challenge. If so, we are keen to hear from you.

You will be expected to have responsibilities covering one or, ideally, more of the following areas – international employment tax, Employee Share Incentives, Enterprise Investment Schemes and general employment tax advice.

Our Employment Tax team has a diverse and interesting client base which you will enjoy working with on a broad range of advisory and compliance matters. You will be passionate about delivering a first class product alongside developing and maintaining trusted and long term client and internal relationships across PEM.

Whilst you will manage a varied portfolio of clients, we particularly welcome applications from candidates that have experience working with start-ups and SMEs and in the charities and educational sector.

Our Employment Tax team is growing and we are looking for a adviser to join our team. You will play a crucial role in our close-knit team providing expert advice and guidance to our clients on all aspects of the team’s work including employee share incentives, international employments and general employment tax matters.

The role is outward facing with significant contact with clients, referrers, other departments within PEM and HMRC. You will be an excellent communicator who enjoys working within a team who is looking for a varied and dynamic career.

Based in the heart of high-tech Cambridge, PEM’s Employment Tax team works with the full range of employers in Cambridge including start-ups, SMEs, charities, and education providers.

Our team’s core work is advising clients on employee share incentives, international employments, and general employment tax matters. We work closely with all of PEM’s specialist teams, ensuring a diverse range of work and clients.

Personal Assistant (Part-time) – Private Clients

Are you a personal assistant with 5 years’ experience, a good level of numeracy and an eye for detail? As a personal assistant in our Private Clients team, you will be responsible for assisting in the smooth running of both client and team matters.

You will be providing an efficient and timely service to support the Private Client partners, directors and wider team. This is an excellent opportunity for applicants who work well as part of a team, with a passion for excellent customer service and enjoy working in a busy team environment.

Tax Compliance Processor – Private Clients

As tax compliance processor, you will be responsible for processing our clients tax return data for our compliance team. You will work closely with managers and tax advisers to generate tax returns, request client information and assist with the preparation of client bills. This is an excellent opportunity for applicants who have an good eye for detail, work accurately and enjoy working in a busy team environment.

We are looking for an experienced senior administrator to join our recovery team.

As well as keeping the team organised, you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of cases, dealing with case correspondence and enquiries and assisting other team members with tasks.

The Virtual Finance Office – PEM’s managed accounting service team provides a full ‘back office’ facility to client companies and organisations, including bookkeeping, management reporting, credit control and general business support.

We are looking for a manager to work closely with the directors and partners to ensure excellent delivery of the service to our clients, and manage the team effectively to meet client deadlines and respond quickly to clients changing needs.

You will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified and have a good understanding of the requirements of a commercial accounts department.

From data entry, ledger management to bookkeeping and management reporting – this role is ideal for someone with a ‘can do’ attitude, has great customer service and communication skills and a high level of IT literacy, particularly within accounting software.

These roles will commence from February 2024.
