Master Data Transformation Lead

12 Month Contract

Our Global Retail Client has a brand new role as a Master Data Programme Lead to oversee every aspect of a programme from conception to implementation.

You will provide expertise, tools and frameworks to ensure successful delivery of programme objective to time, cost, and quality.

Duties include building project implementation teams, developing project milestones, facilitating programme governance and implementing budgets based on strategic priorities

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with Leadership Team and business sponsors, cross-functional teams, third-party vendors and assigned project managers to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, plan, budget, and timing for transformation initiatives.

Work alongside TMO to embed Global Transformation Governance frameworks using best in class methodologies, standards, and tools/templates, ensure consistency across programme and projects.

De-risk programme: assist projects where short term/quick assistance may be required and navigate organisation, people, and processes to assist projects sustainably.

Leads matrix teams to deliver complex multi-workstream programmes involving multiple functions and spanning numerous disciplines including business and IT change.

Provide consistent oversight and governance of the total programme and individual projects with line of sight to business cases and the wider business plan.

Facilitate programme Steercos working alongside Exco and Business sponsors to ensure effective meeting approach, timely issue resolution and decision making.

Ensure appropriate programme resourcing both in the transformation team and in function especially in cases of high demand where value is at risk and additional effort is needed.

Programme Experience & Skills

Master data

Led Master Data strategy and implementation programs focused on creating a Master Data Function and Governance at Group level to achieve a high level of master data integrity. That will include:

Design and establish enterprise-level governance organization with processes and policies

Establish MDM operating model (incl, Glossary, SOP, and Tools)

Master Data quality & reporting

Analytics

Implementing multiple cloud-based high speed, high data volume, data environments designed for analytics and CRM use cases.

Led projects to select, design, implement and manage data lake/data warehouse platforms. (Some of the following types of providers: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Databricks, Snowflake, Cloudera, Spark, MongoDB)

Done this at companies using high volumes of data, ideally in retailing. Other sectors where used high volume data would also be relevant (Telco, Financial Services, Travel etc).

Deep technical knowledge of major transformation, project and programme delivery
