Safety Case Author
Our client, a leading global technical and engineering services partner in the defence industry are recruiting for a Safety Case Author to join the major projects located in Warrington & Aldermaston

The Safety Case Author is responsible for:
Undertaking radiological safety assessment, and associated activities, interfacing with engineering, project management, project controls and document management functions
Acts in any safety assessment or equivalent role
Supporting the Safety Case Manager
Supporting wider Programme safety case and engineering leads when requested
Assisting Head of Profession in capability development and establishment and implementation of resource strategies, recruitment plans and competence
Advises Amentum and Client leadership, engineering, programme and project management, and clients (intelligent Customer), on regulatory compliance, standards and guidance
Supporting the client in interactions with Regulators and safety committees.
Ideally hold a Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent education)
Experience of a range of nuclear hazard identification and analytical tools
application in a wide range of nuclear operations and fault scenarios
Ability to travel for several days at a time in the UK and occasional overseas travel
Good oral and written communication skills, including presentation and report writing
Experience of UK nuclear site licensing, safety assessment principles, regulatory guidance on safety assessment and nuclear Site Licence Conditions;
Experience in two or more UK Nuclear Site Licensee Organisations;
Experience of Regulatory permissioning/flexible permissioning;
Experience of safety case in civil reactors and defence sector;
Experience of international nuclear safety assessment;
Project management and project controls skills;
