About this client/child: if you can sing or play an instrument, you will be putting on regular performances Emily can at times present with some behaviours that may challenge and can struggle in busy environments, however, with support she is working on and overcoming these challenges. Emily is very excited to be transitioning to a new SEN School and is seeking a SEN Support Worker / PA to assist her alternate weekends.
This role is all about promoting Emily’s independence, enabling, facilitating and advocating whilst ensuring she receives the highest standard of care and support. Emily requires support with all her ADLs, self-help skills and assistance in accessing leisure and social activities, some therapy and rehabilitation and supporting Emily to keep up with her friends and most importantly having fun and enjoying the weekend This role will require aspects of manual handling, regular driving whilst on shift, and researching new activities to expand Emily’s list of hobbies and interests. This will be a fantastic role for a *female student, therapy/teaching assistant, or an experienced Support Worker seeking additional hours. Someone with a real passion for supporting young people to reach their full potential. You will be enthusiastic, positive, and flexible; we are ideally looking for a SEN Support Worker / PA that can provide additional hours cover during school holidays, although it is not essential.
Emily’s full-time Support Worker has been with her for 3 years, a great testament to the working environment and ongoing support provided by Emily’s lovely family and case management team. This is an opportunity not to be missed – Emily is a pleasure to work with and support
