As a subject teacher and Key Stage Co-ordinator, you are expected to contribute to the school in the following ways :

1.The Learning Experience of Pupils by:

·teaching their main subject across the full range of age and ability following departmental schemes of work and the National Curriculum;

·setting and marking homework according to school and departmental policies;

·integrating the development of key skills (numeracy, literacy and IT) into theirteaching;

·monitoring and assessing students according to departmental and whole school policies;

·actively promoting the school expectations;

·teaching other subjects as required and according to departmental schemes ofwork;

·contributing to departmental meetings;

·Maintaining a safe and attractive learning environment.

2.To co-ordinate a Key Stage for staff and students by :

·Assisting the Head of Department in monitoring and maximising teaching and learning across the Key Stage;

·Provide efficient administration, organisation and resource management for a Key Stage;

·Overseeing assessment, recording and reporting for the Key Stage.

3.School-wide Activities by:

·promoting the school's ethos and equal opportunities policy;

·contributing to the further development of whole school policies and practices;

·serving as a tutor with responsibilities for student academic tutoring, behaviour, welfare, guidance and for liaison with parents;

·carrying out appropriate school duties, including lunchtimes;

·taking an extra curricular activity weekly.

4.Undertake tasks and responsibilities as directed by the Head of Department.
