Installation / Commissioning Engineer (Fire and Security)

You will oversee the installation and commissioning of fire detection systems for our clients, delivering a high-quality service to our customers. You will be given the unique opportunity to develop your career with us in this newly created role with the potential opportunity to move into a more senior lead role as you gain more experience.
Conduct site surveys to determine the fire protection requirements and recommended suitable fire detection system design.
Prepare detailed engineering submittals, including system layouts, drawings, and specifications.
Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of fire detection systems.
Commission and test newly installed fire detection systems for proper functionality and compliance with local codes and standards.
Provided training and support to clients and end-users on the operation and maintenance of fire detection systems.
Maintained accurate documentation of commissioning activities, test reports, and customer feedback.
Participated in regular industry training and kept up-to-date with the latest fire alarm system technologies, codes, and regulations.
FIA training modules) (Highly desirable)?.
Expert knowledge in fire detection and alarm systems, ideallyNotifier and/or Advanced Fire Alarm systems (highly desirable).
Proficient in performing site surveys, system design, and commissioning of fire detection systems.
Strong understanding of local fire codes and regulations.
Skilled in conducting functional testing and verification of fire alarm systems.
Proficient in interpreting electrical drawings and blueprints.
Familiarity with various fire detection technologies and devices.
Strong project management skills, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, contractors, and engineering teams.
