We are looking foran Assurance Manager to join our fast-growing Global Assurance team.The successful candidate should help the rollout and execution of oursecond line of defense risk monitoring across, and to provide advisorysupport to entities seeking to enhance their control environments. Thesuccessful candidate is an ambitious self-starter, with a provencapability to work independently and as part of a team, has stronganalytical and organizational skills, and a sound knowledge ofrelevant Assurance or Audit practices.
The role is uniquelyplaced to work directly with Regional Leaders to drive scalable riskand compliance testing and monitoring solutions across many areas tohelp maintain a “compliant status” vis-à-vis regulatory requirements.The successful candidate will therefore work closely with the GlobalAssurance team stakeholders (Compliance Officers, Payments Risk,Governance, Internal Audit and other Operational and Support teams) toprovide Senior Management with adequate visibility on regulatory riskexposure and the status of internal controls.
The successfulcandidate is ideally responsible for translating regulatoryrequirements to actionable recommendations and controls for the firstline of defense by assessing risks, producing regulatory analysis andreports, and designing continuous risk monitoring solutions. Thecandidate is also a quick learner with an ability to absorb thenuances of Amazon's varied payment offerings, their risks and internalsystems and practices.

Key jobresponsibilities
The successful candidate should have strongbusiness and communication skills, able to influence seniorstakeholders via data-driven and actionable insights. The successfulcandidate will also:
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge and solidunderstanding of product compliance as well as regulatory compliancerelating to financial services;
• Significantly contribute to thedesign, development, implementation, and execution of complianceassurance testing, lead issue validation activities with stakeholdersand report to Senior Management;
• Ability to learn andunderstand business processes, regulations, internal controls, anddevelop meaningful tests to determine control design adequacy andoperating effectiveness;
• Perform operational deep dives tounderstand and find gaps in compliance-related processes and services;• Identify and assess inherent and residual risks related to controldeficiencies;
• Work with compliance office personnel, businessunits legal, and technology partners to identify deficiencies ininternal controls and operational processes and identify root cause ofissues;
• Participate in process improvement initiatives,including identifying and implementing best practices in effective andinnovative ways.
• Continuously Identify industry best practicesand contribute to the improvement of the Assurance Program;
•Embrace the use of data analytics to increase value and reduce costsof compliance-related assurance activities;
• Manage severalprojects simultaneously with precision and accuracy.

BASICQUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
-Experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit,risk/loss prevention, or equivalent
- Experience handlingconfidential information

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk orcompliance credentials
- Experience with SQL and Excel
-Experience in program requirements definition, together with data andmetrics leveraging to drive improvements
