We're looking for a Junior Technical Administrator based around the York area, to provide Internal IT technical support to all users following the expansion of the business.

Working within the Internal IT team to help support the whole company with any IT technical support issues that arise.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of the Trustmarque Infrastructure, this includes the network, backups, servers, telephone system.
  • Provide End user support to users.
  • Responsible for tickets raised in the system to ensure they are effectively managed and owned through resolution, in-line with documented procedures.
  • Diagnose hardware and software problems and replace defective components.
  • Documentation of systems to provide adequate recovery by IT personnel.
  • Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures in order to protect data, software, and hardware in accordance with ISO27001 and CE+.
  • Liaise with users to understand any issues raised and help resolve them where possible.
  • Administration of internal systems and processes.
  • Assist and implement projects relating to the IT infrastructure.

  • Obtain Microsoft certifications as required by the company in accordance with timeframes set.

Here's what we're looking for:

  • Ability to learn quickly new IT systems, applications, and processes.
  • Communication: Able to explain technical issues in a polite and consistent manner to a level the user understands.
  • Basic IT computer knowledge and hands on skills.
  • Good analytical ability – can analyse complex data and issues.
  • Effectively plan & manage own workload, weighing up technical & business factors.
  • Must be highly trustworthy, able to manage and motivate self in the absence of direct supervision.

Bonus points:

  • Basic knowledge of Office 365 suite.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
  • Basic knowledge of Backup and Restore procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of Networks and TCP/IP.
  • Basic knowledge of telephony networks.
  • Basic knowledge of relevant accreditations, such as ISO27001 and CE+.
  • Flexible, willing to adapt to different situations and rapid change.
  • Must demonstrate good attention to detail.
  • Polite and service-oriented, but reasonably assertive.
