Head of Technology

We have been tasked by a prominent and established Investment Management Company to identify a dynamic Head of Systematic Technology to spearhead their technological endeavors. This position will be based in London, and require applicants with previous experience of systematic strategies. The Head of Systematic Technology will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the technology agenda for the firm's systematic trading division. This division operates at the forefront of quantitative research and algorithmic trading, leveraging cutting-edge technology to achieve outstanding performance.
As a leader in the global market, this company is renowned for its innovative approaches and exceptional results across various investment strategies.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading a team of talented engineers and developers to design, build, and maintain robust and scalable systematic trading systems.
- Collaborating closely with quantitative researchers and traders to develop and implement sophisticated trading strategies.
- Driving innovation by exploring and adopting emerging technologies and methodologies in systematic trading and financial technology.
- Taking ownership of the technological roadmap for the systematic trading division, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Technical Requirements:
- Extensive experience in software development and technology leadership roles, preferably in the finance or trading industry.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java, with a strong emphasis on quantitative analysis and algorithmic trading.
- In-depth knowledge of systematic trading systems, including algorithmic execution, risk management, and market data processing.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and distributed systems architecture.
