About the roleThe administrative team of Nuchem Sciences Inc., the Canadian subsidiary of Sygnature Discovery, is looking for a person to join its finance team in Lévis to occupy the position of Accountant – Accounts Receivable Special
Role ProfileUnder the supervision of the Head of Finance, the candidate will be responsible for several accounting activities related mainly to accounts receivable, including certain month-end and year-end entries.
This position will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Liaise with Business Development to review and follow up on client contracts.
- Assign and track internal project numbers.
- Raise invoices and follow up on receivables.
- Calculate monthly rebillable items that are assigned to projects and invoice these items.
- Manage client projects eligible for SR&ED tax credits and perform required calculations.
- Prepare monthly revenue forecasts in conjunction with the Heads of Department and Business Development team.
- Actively participate in month-end and year-end processes (journal entries, accruals, accounts receivable, SR&ED provision, etc.).
- Contribute to the implementation of an ERP, particularly for the customer/accounts receivable section.
- Manage intercompany revenue in conjunction with the UK finance team.
- Produce various accounting reports and analyses.
- Support the accounting team with various accounting activities.
- Knowledge of how an accounting system and ERP works, knowledge of NetSuite is an asset.
- Good command of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Good learning ability.
- Excellent ability to manage several tasks at the same time, good management of priorities, great resourcefulness.
- Good attention to detail and a focus on producing accurate and timely information.
- Ability to provide quality service and thoroughness.
- Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize activities in a busy working environment.
- Good team player.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues at all levels.
- Advanced level in both French and English.
