Maintenance Technician (Electrical biased) required for a university across their Liverpool campus. Your new job will be working for a leading university across their Liverpool campus.
The majority of work is reactive so the suitable candidate must have experience with reactive maintenance. You must be able to use a mobile phone to receive daily jobs from the Resource Planners (you will eventually be upgrading to a PDA).The work will be across 150 buildings in total ranging from brand new laboratories, offices and grade 2 listed buildings. The company have pool vans so you are able to use them however a lot of the time you will be walking round campus as this is quicker and more efficient unless there is a bigger job which requires more tools and man power etc.
Someone from a commercial maintenance background would also be considered i.e. Electrical background. Mechanical background is also desirable so you can change fan belts etc.Must have experience with 3 phase LV network (Electrical – more commercial not domestic).No DBS required.Must have very good communication skills as will be going into various offices which may have directors, professors, students etc.Familiar with BMS or BEMS – software that turns on and off heating systems.Full UK driving license and have your own vehicle to get to site when you are ‘On Call’.Basic salary up to £37,100 pa (NOT including overtime and on call)
