Supply Heroes are looking for a highly motivated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work at a fun, supportive, and highly respected mainstream primary school in Longbridge, Birmingham. The school have supportive staff that are dedicated to helping all students succeed and have a strong focus on student well-being and mental health. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individual 1:1 support to a pupil in Reception who is non-verbal as well as giving additional classroom support where needed. Therefore, somebody who has a passion of working in SEN, good adaptability and strong relationship building will thrive in this role. It starts in September 2024 and will be for the full academic year, full-time 5 days a week. The ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant qualification, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or a degree in Education
- Experience of working with pupils with SEN
- Experience in EYFS is a bonus
- A depth of knowledge of the primary school curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive and patient approach
- Excellent rates of pay on PAYE
- Around the clock support whenever you need it
- Commitment to a quality of service and safeguarding
- Support with any interviews and lesson observations
