Our Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a fast growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial Heavy Machinery.
The role is focused on providing HR solutions that support the business objective as well as providing the relevant support to key stakeholders on all people issues and providing the relevant coaching/training to people managers enabling effective performance management and overall development of our people.
Also to ensure that all working practices and activities meet all of our legal obligations as an employer and to ensure the provision of first-class HR service.
Alongside this, as a Learning Partner, you will be responsible to work effectively with a range of stakeholders to drive the Learning and Development agenda, meeting business priorities and passionate about maximising the potential of employees.
Stakeholder management experience will be key, working closely with business stakeholders, trainers and mentors supporting the Graduate & Apprentice Development Programs.
Leads and manages the people business HR agenda supporting one or more Lines of Business with ~300 employees.
Collaborates with Global HR colleagues to deliver Learning & development support to the business in technical and non-technical areas as well as manage the Graduate & Apprentice Development Programs
HR Business Partner:
Assists in the development and maintenance of an ongoing effective Business HR strategy in line with the Global TTL HR strategy.
Provides broad HR support to all levels of managers to build people management capability through proactive identification and application of HR solutions that support business objectives.
Responsible for the end to end management of employee relations cases, including disciplinary and investigation processes and grievances
Assisting with the management of and tracking of the Bench
Coach managers and teams in the use of the relevant HR tools for ensuring high performance and encourage the development of a culture of continuous improvement.
Works with individual members of management teams and their line managers to effectively implement HR/business strategies and evaluate progress.
Supports the delivery of HR elements of business changes in line with best practice, ensuring effective organisational and cultural change. Act as Change Agent in managing and project planning from a HR perspective.
Work with the Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development teams to strengthen resource and talent planning, quantify the gaps in business-critical competencies and build an intimate picture of our key talent groups.
Provide support to HR and LOB managers with advice and counsel regarding the TTL deputation policy / programs and related assignment/relocation processes, in addition advising / supporting international assignees throughout the assignment cycle.
Utilises appropriate HR and business orientated metrics to identify emerging issues for the business as well as demonstrate value and track progress of the HR strategies/solutions.
Supports the implementation of fair and ethical work practices to optimise employee engagement and wellbeing. Ensure full compliance with all internal and statutory requirements.
Provide robust, accurate guidance on matters of policy, processes and practices and that they meet all of our legal obligations as an employer and deploy consistent approaches to HR processes across the business.
Learning & Development:
Stakeholder management to ensure the required engagement, sponsorship and outcomes of the Graduate Engineer, Apprenticeship & Ready Engineer programs.
Track and report progress of all entry level talent alongside direct feedback from Graduates and Apprentices, working closely with Trainers and mentors.
Work with LOB’s to identify training needs of individuals, teams and the organisation in line with business requirements and provide Learning and Development solutions within their budget.
Work with the Global L&OD team, TechVarsity and other HR Business Partners to implement Learning and Development Programmes
Track metrics, key data and support preparation of management information reports relating to training interventions and the evaluation of programmes & interventions.
Significant HR experience ideally as a Generalist with broad experience in various HR areas of expertise including but not limited to performance management, employee relations, talent management, resource planning & fulfilment.
Ability to drive multiple projects and programs simultaneously
Managed small scale HR initiatives/projects.
