Title: Validation Engineer (Commissioning Engineer)
Location: Andover, Hampshire (on-site)
Type: Permanent
Overview:
Our business is growing rapidly in UK, Europe, North America and in the Far East. We wish to maintain this momentum by appointing a Validation Engineer to help cope with this growing workload. Reporting to the Validation Manager, this customer facing role will involve substantial global travel and be responsible for:
- Commissioning new products following delivery to customer sites.
- Developing customer specific programs for the customer’s use of the equipment.
- Training the customer operators in the correct and safe use of the equipment.
- Completing validation project testing documentation including preparation and issuing of reports.
- Ensuring successful execution of tasks to fulfil the customer’s order in accordance with procedures.
Key Skills & Experience:
Essential skills:
- A minimum of 5 years multi skilled experience of mechanical, electrical/controls or process systems
- Excellent communication skills
- A systematic and logical approach to problem solving and ensuring a high level of customer service is delivered.
- A positive, flexible and results orientated approach
- Able to work autonomously and demonstrate good decision qualities but be capable of sharing workload within a small team and directing work as appropriate.
- Able to manage/maintain own work timescales to maintain schedule of works
- A close attention to detail to produce work of a high standard is essential and documentation completion to GMP standards.
- A robust personality, able to handle pressurised situations.
- Flexible to accommodate the needs of the business.
- Experience/ understanding of commissioning and validation procedures is important although specific experience of bio-decontamination equipment and systems is not essential, as comprehensive training will be given
