Job Description Job Title: Health, Safety, and Environment Manager

They are seeking a motivated and dedicated Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager to ensure our Gloucestershire facility meets all internal and legal compliance standards. This role is crucial for enhancing our safety branding and promoting a positive safety culture within the plant.

Coordinate the Plant Health Safety & Environment Review Board.
Support and participate in Area HSE Meetings, addressing any arising issues.
Define and deliver HSE/Environmental training as required.
Provide coordination for UK Environmental issues.
Assess the impact of HSE legislation on the business.
Collaborate with Occupational Health to define safe processes for new products and manage return-to-work protocols.
Manage the interface with global teams and external stakeholders on HSE initiatives.
Lead safety for site-specific projects, providing advice and guidance.
Promote continuous improvement and best practices across the plant.

Proven experience in a HSE role within the manufacturing industry, ideally automotive.
Comprehensive understanding of HSE aspects, including legislation, audit handling, and management systems.
Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining effective relationships.
NEBOSH or IOSH qualification required.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in HS&E within a unionised factory setting.
Self-motivated with a flexible approach to work.
Commitment to energy efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainable practices.

Safety and Compliance:

The role requires compliance with the Global Star Safety Program, adherence to safety rules, and participation in safety training. The candidate will also be responsible for reporting any safety issues or incidents.
